Been out of the city for a weekend of fun in the sun at Phillip Island. Ava was very happy to have friends to read her books and play ball with. So happy that summer is coming ...

Your It!!

I have been tagged for the first time by the lovely Karen it feels like weeks ago and I am finally having a go.

So here are the rules;
A. Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves.
B. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog...

The doctor says I have a 70% chance of having a boy this time, she thought she could see a boy bit. Which is fantastic but also a little scary because I have four sisters, roughly 30 cousins of which probably 80% are girls and a daughter so I don't know that much about little boys but I do know they love their Muma's which is great for me!

I grew up on a farm on the Rabbit Proof Fence.

I met my lovely husband in the Whitsunday's. He was a friend of a work friend and every time he would come into my work I would turn BRIGHT red and couldn't look at him. How embarrassing!! Even after we got together I would still go red when he would visit me at work.

I have moved to a different state five times since 2001.

I love ice cream - if i had to name my favourite store it would be either Trampoline or Cold Rock or any store that sells Magnums.

I am a qualified makeup artist.

My husband is German and I can understand quite a bit of German when his family are around a lot but as soon as I try to say something no one can understand me.

I just ate porridge with honey for dinner, which I don't know if that is counted as a balanced pregnant diet but I just didn't feel anything else. Ava had scrambled eggs (current favorite) avocado and grapes!!

I am going to break rule three and not tag anyone however I will promise to blog more often than once a month!!!

I been lazy because ...

Lately I haven't been very good at keeping up with my blog or sewing or anything really and I have been putting in some good tv time because I'm pregnant again!! I get to the end of the day and only have enough energy to sit about. The baby is due on the 04/04/08 and we are excited to see if Ava will have a baby brother or sister. I have mostly been feeling good but it depends when you ask me. I am also excited about being pregnant because some of my most lovely friends are pregnant as well.

Ava has been great except with sleeping - which is kind of important right now. A few more days then Daddy will be on morning duty again!!

Here she is lovely and clean after her bath!!

I've been making ...

These are a few things that I have finished lately - 3 baby quilts and 3 little onsies (the photo is bad because I took just before the battery went flat)
Also a cute picture of Ava in her baby bouncer - its her new favourite seat!

Crazy Busy Crazy

Life has been insane - Ava got a nasty rash which we were first told was a Staph infection, we were then told she had Hand, Foot and Mouth disease which is less scary but still strange sounding. The next day Ava had a bad fall into the sharp corner of our bed, splitting her head open and this resulted in me nearly fainting and a little ride in the ambulance to have Ava's little head super glued back together. So poor little Ava has had a sore head and been covered in little spots.

Before all this happened I couldn't resist any longer and had to tie her hair in little piggy tails - how cute are they!!

We went to the zoo twice this week, once with little Eddie who was calling the baboons "Dadda" which had Vic and I in fits of laughter and the other with little Mahlie who is growing into a cheeky monkey like Ava and everyone went home with a monkey that gives cuddles.

Sunnies & Scarves

Ava has recently decided that it is cool to leave your sunnies on instead of ripping them off immediately. So we tried out Poppy's magnifying glasses - which had Poppy and I in fits of laughter. Then at the airport she tried on some cool Le Specs - same serious but too cool face in both photo's. Very Funny!

I have been making some kiddie scarves and trying out a few different fabrics. There are the ones so far.

I have also been attempting some mittens for Ava's icicle fingers that she gets when we go to the park but they come out looking like tiny oven mitts so I have to think of a better way.

Hugs to Mum & Hugs to Dad

Today I went to Frankston - Yay! Ava and I visited Myer toy section while my Dad looked at model helicotpers next door. Ava went completely nuts in the toy section she just keep picking up one thing after another and couldn't understand why the "Doll Doll" was in a plastic box. It was so cute her looking through the plastic at the dolly's. She ended up finding a corner of the shop, sitting down and playing with her new friends. She was very lucky - her Poppy got her a new Ernie giggling thing and a green rainbow Care Bear the one I had when I was little.

I also recieved a lovely big bag of embroidery thread from the op shop that my Mum had sent over for me and I shared it with Valli she was very excited too! There was this very cool Monogram Embroidery Set that has little fold out alphabet transfers inside. Thanks Mum Big Hugs to you!

Then my amazingly handy Dad fixed up my Mum's on borrow to me new overlocker. He pulled the whole thing apart and found the problem, oiled it up and now it works like a treat - So So Happy! I have very clever father. Thanks Dad Big Hugs to you!

Tommy's Bed

Ava loves her books at the moment - she also likes to copy her big cousin Valli and was lying on her tummy reading with her - so cute! Ava is trying to say many new words and it is funny to listen to her babbling trying to be very serious but you can't understand a word of it.

Had a busy week and not done much sewing this week - but last week I did make little Tom a bed cover from a bag of fabric's Georgie had at home.

I am still trying to figure out all the bits of blogging and it has taken me four days to try and get the security settings right on the computer so I can get into blogger - now I feel like an idiot because it's so easy when you just follow instructions.
